South Iceland Interior

The foreground is mostly black sand piled around several large volcanic rocks. A sparse scattering of short, green vegetation is growing in the foreground sand. A shallow, wide river with many sand bars exits the middle left side of the frame. This river takes the eye back toward the middle of the frame where it pinches to a distant point and brings the eye up to far away mountains. Above the mountains is the classic, stormy looking Icelandic sky with patches of blue.
