Maroon Bells Autumn Snow

Steep, nearby mountainsides, left and right, create a u shape valley in the upper half of this autumn panorama. This valley is right of center in the image and it frames the spectacular Maroon Bells in a partly cloudy, morning sky. Maroon Bells is a set of pyramid shaped mountains that are very close to each other with the right one being a bit nearer. The valley has a stream flowing toward the viewer then it curves left, under a foot bridge, then out the left side of the image. This valley also has meadows and stands of spruce and golden aspen trees, but what really makes this image special is the fresh layer of snow that had fallen during the previous night.
