High Mesa Aspen

The very bottom of this autumn, vertical image shows a dirt road entering in the middle of the frame and curving to the right, disappearing behind aspen and spruce trees at the edge of the road. The road is framed left and right by aspen at peak fall color and an occasional spruce tree. Moving up in the image there are more golden aspen, occasional orange aspen and a lesser number of spruce trees. The top of the image show the rocky wall of the mesa, here it has a large, vertical crack with spruce trees growing in it and it leads the eye to the top of the mesa which is shrouded in fog. Outlines of spruce trees disappear into the fog. This interesting background is framed left and right by foreground, golden aspen tree tops.
