Canyonlands National Park

Vertical, black and white image taken with a long lens from a high mesa in Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. The upper two thirds of the image shows nine layers of mesas and ridges fading into the far background, higher in the image. The bottom of the image shows a section of a mesa top, it's rocky cliff edge on the left and a few undulating hills on the right. A dirt lane emerges in the lower right corner of the frame and angles up and to the middle where it disappears as it makes a right turn around a hill.
