Stony Pass Columbine

A very steep mountainside strewn with angular boulders comes down from the upper, right corner of this vertical image and exits below the middle of the left side. Three clumps of blue columbine are very visible growing in the boulders. The closest one is nearby, in the lower right, and provides the viewer an entry point into the image. Scanning up past the boulders, in the middle of the frame, there is a nearby, pinnacle shaped mountain top. Behind it, to the left and much further back, distant mountain tops are receiving early morning light. Above one sees a blue sky with a few clouds also receiving warm hued morning light.
