Stony Pass Wildflowers

The scene is from an alpine meadow above timberline on the side a large mountain in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The sloping meadow enters the top of the frame left of the upper right corner and exits above the bottom left corner. This foreground mountainside is full of Larkspur, a beautiful, blue wildflower. The remaining part of the frame, a triangle in the upper left, shows a view down to an alpine valley and across it to a mountainside on the valley's far side. The valley and mountainside slope to the right and down toward the center of the frame and lead to distant mountains. The sky above the far mountainside and distant mountains is mostly cloudy and it's almost sunset so yellowish hues in thinner clouds contrast nicely with the blue of the Larkspur in the foreground.
