Garden of the Gods Winter

It's before sunrise on a winter morning and still in the blue hour, bluish light is cast over the scene. This panorama taken from distance with a long lens has two main features. The foreground, in the lower section, reveals a row, left to right, of three dramatic red sandstone rock formations in Garden of the Gods. The background, higher in the image, above the Garden of the Gods rock formations, shows the front range mountains from Cheyenne Mountain on the left to Pikes Peak on the right side of the image. What make this image particularly appealing is that a layer of fresh snow coats everything.
