Waikiki Beach Dawn

This is a very simple sunrise beach image. The lowest fifth of the image starts on bottom with manicured grass then a ribbon of sand and then the ocean. The western sky, which makes up four fifths of the background shows the earth's shadow, a thin sliver of blue just above the horizon out at sea. Above it is Venus's Belt, a band of pink color that transitions to orange then yellow higher in the sky. About half way up in the image the mostly, cloudless sky transitions to blue. What makes this scene appealing are the six nicely spaced palm trees growing out of the grass, their trunks in front of the earth's shadow and Venus's Belt and their fronds splaying out to fill most of the blue sky.
