Ruby Beach Milky Way

It is late at night on the Washington coast in Olympic National Park. The galactic core of the Milky Way is visible at an eleven o'clock angle in the upper three fifths of the center of the image. Framing it in the sky, on the right, is a rock spire emanating from the boulder strewn, sandy beach. Moving left, under the Milky Way, there are several rock spires out at sea, in the distance. Framing the Milky Way on the left is a forested hillside which is particularly interesting because a bright light in this forest is causing light beams to streak out through gaps in the tree branches and shine toward the Milky Way.
