Joshua Trees

It is dawn, the sun is still below the horizon, but the clouds in the eastern sky are glowing orange, yellow and red. A distant range of mountains is in the background below the sky, in the lower portion of the image. There is a field in the foreground and it is full of dried grass, short shrubs and sand. Growing in this field and filling most of the frame are silhouettes of Joshua trees, their twisted gnarly limbs going this way and that way, the is camera positioned in such a way that the trees rarely overlap in the scene.
