Great Sand Dunes

Wide panorama, taken at sunset, pointing north, from the tallest dune in Great Sand Dunes National Park. In the foreground are ripples in the sand of the closest dune and then layer after layer of sand dunes running into the distance and about half way up the frame. The top half of the image shows a long ribbon of the Sangre De Cristo mountains laden with winter snow and their cloud shrouded peaks receiving the last light of day.
