About Andy Cook
About The Photographer: Andy Cook
Andy Cook is a landscape photographer and field-based instructor who has led small-group workshops across the United States for more than two decades. His approach centers on helping photographers make clearer decisions in the field by refining composition, understanding light, and strengthening technical control in real conditions.
Rather than following a rigid curriculum, instruction is adapted to the individual. Some participants are building a foundation in exposure and camera settings; others are refining compositional judgment to make better framing decisions in the field. In every location, from the San Juan Mountains to coastal Maine or desert Utah, the emphasis remains the same: steady growth, thoughtful work, and practical improvement in the field.
For over twenty years, he has returned to locations across the country, leading workshops in mountain, coastal, desert, and forest environments. His small-group format allows for individualized guidance and meaningful time in the field, helping photographers at every level move forward with confidence.
Andy's work has been featured in respected publications including National Audubon Society, Colorado Adventure, and 5280 Magazine, and has sold work to entities such as National Geographic, Budweiser, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His long-standing professional experience informs both his photography and his teaching.
His path into photography began in Colorado in the late 1980s, when time spent hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains gradually evolved into a deeper interest in documenting the landscape. Early setbacks, mentorship under landscape photographer Richard Norman, and years of hands-on learning shaped the instructor he is today.
About The Company: Rocky Mountain Reflections Photography, Inc.
Founded in 2001, Rocky Mountain Reflections Photography grew from small classroom-based camera courses into a nationally recognized workshop program.
